First, let's take a look at the routine maintenance of injection molding machines.
A. Injection molding machine and mold protection
Before the injection molding machine is shut down, the mold should be opened to a distance of 5-10mm, so that the clamping machine hinge (crank arm) mechanism is in a semi-extended state, and the injection molding machine hinge mechanism (crank arm) is in a non-stressed stop state, so as to better protect the mold and clamping mechanism.
B. Barrel cleaning
Before shutting down, the plastic in the barrel should be cleaned up, and one of the plastics PP, PS, and PE should be used to clean out the original plastic remaining in the barrel. After cleaning, loosen the screw stroke to the maximum stroke. This can prevent the screw head from being burned when the machine is turned on and heated up next time.
If the plastic used is colored, VO fireproof grade plastic, corrosive plastic, or plastic with glass fiber, it can be cleaned out with one of PP, PS, or PE plastics. After the cleaning work is completed, the temperature of the material pipe can be directly turned off.
C. Drain the mold, barrel cooler, and hydraulic oil cooler
1. Close the inlet and outlet valves of the hydraulic oil cooler of the injection molding machine, remove the inlet and outlet water pipe joints, and use the air gun of the air compressor to blow out (drain) all the residual water inside the cooler to avoid rust or oxidation inside the water ring. In addition, the filter on the water inlet pipe of the oil cooler needs to be cleaned.
2. Close the inlet and outlet valves of the mold (male mold/female mold), remove the inlet and outlet water pipe joints, and use the air gun of the air compressor to blow out (drain) all the residual water inside the water transport system of the mold to avoid rust on the mold core.
D. Maintenance of lubrication parts
1. Lubrication of the mold adjustment mechanism should be filled with diluent molybdenum according to the machine maintenance requirements;
2. For the thin oil lubrication of the hinge part (Sinopec Great Wall Guide Oil L-G150), the internal sediment of the electric lubrication pump should be thoroughly cleaned and the filter screen of the oil pump suction port should be cleaned, and the connecting oil pipes should be checked for damage. Be sure to do a manual lubrication test to observe whether the valve core of each lubricating oil distributor pops out and resets, and whether the lubricating oil pipe is broken;
3. Lubrication of the front plate, rear plate and melt transmission shaft of the shooting table needs to be filled with lithium-based grease (3#) as required.
E. Maintenance of machine bypass filter and oil suction filter
1. When the machine is running, observe the area where the pressure gauge pointer of the bypass filter is pointing to. If it is close to or reaches the red area, please replace the bypass filter element in time;
2. When the machine is running, observe the pressure gauge pointer of the oil pump suction filter. If it is close to or reaches the red area, please clean the filter element in time. If the hydraulic oil in the tank is too dirty, replace the hydraulic oil.
F. Maintenance of motor cooling fan
Disassemble the motor cover to observe whether the motor fan is running normally. If the fan does not rotate, it needs to be replaced in time. In addition, the dust on the surface of the motor cooling fan and the motor heat sink needs to be cleaned with an air gun. When cleaning, be sure to turn off the power of the machine.
G. Maintenance of the electric box
1. Check whether the exhaust fan in the electric box is running normally when the power is on. If there is a fan that does not rotate or has a loud running noise, please replace it in time;
2. Use an air gun to clean the filter of the cooling fan and the filter of the air inlet;
3. When the main power switch is turned off, clean the dust in the electric box to ensure the normal operation of the electronic board and electrical components. If conditions permit, use a vacuum cleaner to clean it.
In addition, there are other maintenance, such as cleaning the debris and rubber on the machine table; ensuring that the oil return port of the oil return tank under the clamping frame is unobstructed; it is recommended to store some camphor balls in the electric box to prevent mice from entering the electric box and biting the related electrical circuits, and then close the electric box door.
