Injection molding machines can be classified according to the plasticizing methods, including plunger-type plastic injection molding machines, reciprocating screw-type plastic injection molding machines, and screw-plunger-type plastic injection molding machines. The specific machine model information is as follows.
Plunger-type plastic injection molding machine: This model has poor mixing and plasticizing properties, and a diverter shuttle device must be installed. It is rarely used now.
Reciprocating screw-type plastic injection molding machine: It relies on the screw for plasticizing and injection, and has good mixing and plasticizing properties. It is now widely used.
Screw-plunger-type plastic injection molding machine: Plasticizing by screw and injection by plunger, the two processes are separated.

Different structural forms
Injection molding machines can be classified according to the structural form, including horizontal injection molding machines, vertical injection molding machines, angle injection molding machines, and multi-mode turntable injection molding machines.
Horizontal injection molding machine: The clamping part and injection part of this type of injection molding machine are on the same horizontal center line, and the mold is opened in the horizontal direction. The horizontal injection molding machine has a short body, which is easy to operate and maintain; the machine has a low center of gravity and is relatively stable to install; the product can automatically fall down by gravity after being ejected, and it is easy to achieve full automatic operation. At present, most injection molding machines on the market adopt this form.
Vertical injection molding machine: Its clamping part and injection part are on the same vertical center line, and the mold is opened in the vertical direction. Therefore, it occupies a small area, is easy to place inserts, is convenient to load and unload molds, and the materials falling from the hopper can be plasticized more evenly. However, it is not easy for the product to fall automatically after being ejected, and it must be removed by hand, which is not easy to achieve automatic operation. Vertical injection molding machines are suitable for small injection molding machines, generally more for injection molding machines below 60 grams, and not suitable for large and medium-sized machines.
Angle injection molding machine: Its injection direction and mold interface are on the same plane. It is particularly suitable for flat products where gate marks are not allowed to remain in the machining center. It occupies a smaller area than a horizontal injection molding machine, but the inserts placed in the mold are prone to tilt and fall. This type of injection molding machine is suitable for small machines.
Multi-mode turntable injection molding machine: It is a special injection molding machine with multi-station operation. Its characteristic is that the mold clamping device adopts a turntable structure and the mold rotates around the rotating shaft. This type of injection molding machine fully utilizes the plasticizing ability of the injection device, which can shorten the production cycle and improve the production capacity of the machine. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for the production of large quantities of products with long cooling and shaping time or requiring more auxiliary time due to the placement of inserts. However, because the clamping system is large and complex, the clamping force of the clamping device is often small, so this type of injection molding machine is widely used in the production of products such as plastic soles.
